This fast-track 2-day course is perfect for anyone looking to dive into the exciting world of wheel throwing. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, this bootcamp will teach you the essential skills to throw, trim, and decorate your pottery creations. Over the weekend, you'll learn essential techniques from our resident Wheel Throwing master - EJ, and feel confidence to tackle the pottery wheel and create functional, beautiful vessels. You'll also receive a complimentary glazing class to perfect your finished piece.

DATE & TIME:

  • SAT 11th & SUN 12th / 9am – 12pm 

Experience Level: Beginner - Intermediate

WEEKEND GOAL:

Day 1: Throw 

  • Introduction to the pottery wheel and the ancient art of ceramics.

  • Learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing, including centering, pulling, and shaping clay.

  • Experiment with creating different vessel shapes, such as bowls, cups, or small vases.

Day 2: Trim & Decorate

  • Refine your pieces by learning trimming techniques to achieve a clean, professional finish.

  • Add handles and other attachments to your work.

  • Explore surface decorating techniques, including carving and texturing.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

  • Time: 3 hours per day

  • What You’ll Create: By the end of the bootcamp you will be finish with 3-4 food safe and dish washer friendly pieces to take home.

  • Complimentary Sunday Glaze Class: As part of your Bootcamp experience, you'll receive a 1-hour glazing session. Choose from over 20 in-studio glazes to finish your creation. This session can be booked at your convenience after the course.

 

Age Requirement: 13 & over (Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also enrolled in the class.)

Please note: Attendance on both days is essential as make-up sessions are not available.
