Hand Building Ceramic Class (5 Weeks)

This 5-week course is designed for all skill levels, offering you the chance to learn exciting techniques like slab-building and coiling to make beautiful bowls, plates, platters and decorative vases.  Not only will you learn the relaxing and therapeutic art form of Hand-building, but you'll also be able to experiment with surface decoration and glaze techniques. 

Over the duration of the 5-week course, you'll be guided by our incredibly talented teachers, where you will learn a variety of techniques to give you the skills to create original and imaginative pieces. 

• Week 1 - Types of clay/clay prep - pinch pot project
• Week 2 - Studio equipments/stages of clay - slab project
• Week 3 - Trimming and refining - coil project
• Week 4 - Student major project
• Week 5 - Glazing techniques

Experience level: Beginner - Intermediate

Anyone aged 13 & over is welcome to join, but anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class.

*Note: You must be able to make all dates. We're not able to do make-up sessions if you can't make a date. A maximum of 5kg of clay per student is included in the workshop. Additional clay can be purchased through the studio.
