Wheel Throwing Course (5 weeks)

Unwind & get creative behind the wheel. 

If you’ve ever dreamt of throwing clay on a potter's wheel and transforming a lump of mud into something beautiful, this is your sign. Over 5 weeks, you’ll learn the relaxing art of wheel throwing, guided by our experienced teachers.

You'll discover how to shape cylinders (think cups, mugs, and vases), craft bowls, and explore forms beyond the basics. You'll learn the deeply satisfying art of trimming and finishing your pots before unlocking the magic of glaze — choosing from our wide selection of studio exclusive glazes to bring your creations to life.

This course is about more than just making pottery — it's about slowing down, connecting with clay, and surprising yourself with what your hands can do. By the end of 5 weeks, you’ll have a collection of 5–6 stunning, food-safe and dishwasher-friendly pieces you’ll actually want to show off (or gift).

WEEKLY GOALS:

• Week 1: First spins — learn the foundations and throw your first basic forms.
• Week 2: Build on your skills and take your throwing to the next level.
• Week 3: Experiment with shapes — bowls, vases, mugs, and more.
• Week 4: Learn to trim your pieces and, if you’re ready, add handles to your work.
• Week 5: Glaze time! Choose from a wide range of colours to personalise your pieces.

Our courses are also small and intimate to maximise your experience, and at the end you will finish with around 5-6 pieces that are all food-safe and dishwasher friendly.

Anyone aged 13 & over is welcome to join, but anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class.
